About Apollo Computers
Apollo Computers specializes in managed IT for law firms, practices of 2 to 25 attorneys across West and Central Texas. The servers, networks, workstations, phones and security a practice runs on, and the confidentiality obligations that come with all of them.
Why law firms
A twelve-person firm where everyone bills is losing thousands of dollars an hour when the server is down. Not inconvenienced, losing. Attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants: every one of them is billable capacity, and that capacity resets to zero at the end of the day whether you used it or not.
Most businesses make up a lost hour tomorrow. A firm doesn't get to.
Apollo spent its first eighteen years as a general IT company, serving businesses across a range of industries. We're now building it around law firms instead, because a law office punishes downtime in a way most businesses simply don't, and because we've been running one firm's technology since 2003 and know exactly what that pressure feels like from the inside.

Where this started
Apollo's Managed IT Services practice started inside a law firm.
In 2003, a West Texas firm hired its first IT person, ever. Over the next five years that meant upgrading every computer and server, moving the firm onto a new time, billing and accounting system, and implementing document management for the first time.
In 2008, that work became a business. The firm became Apollo's first Managed Services client, and they're still a client today.
23 years. One law firm. Same team.
Two deliberate decisions
Law firms, not everyone. New clients are law firms. That's a narrowing, and it's on purpose. The more we see of how a law office actually runs, the more useful we are to the next one.
Automation and AI as a second discipline. A separate line of work that sits on top of managed IT: finding where a firm's non-billable hours are going, and whether any of it can be handled safely without a person doing it by hand. Not a product we resell. A question we help you answer.
What we're trying to build
IT should be boring.
A law firm's technology is working when nobody notices it. The file opens. The scanner feeds. Time gets captured. Nobody has a story to tell about the network.
That's the standard we measure ourselves against, and it's why most of what we do happens before anyone at your firm would have known there was a problem.

We hold our technicians to being friendly, prompt, courteous, respectful and knowledgeable. And a technician who fixes the problem but leaves someone at your firm feeling stupid hasn't finished the job.

Where we are
Technicians based in Odessa, Early, Albany and Waco, serving the Permian Basin, the Big Country, the Brownwood area and Central Texas.
We built the coverage area around one rule: if we can't reach your office in about an hour, we don't take your firm on as a client. About 15% of IT problems can't be fixed over a remote connection, and the only honest way to handle those is to show up.
We don't cover the whole state. That's the point.
